* GM Discounts DO apply to the 2010 Camaro *
To clarify the misconceptions of the GM discounts on the Camaro, I have said that in several dealership training telecasts, The Camaro would be eligible for GM program discounts from day one.
Now, in several forum threads, other dealers are questioning this. So let me add some clarification from John Fitzpatrick, GM Camaro Marketing Manager: From John Fitzpatrick, Camaro Marketing Manager: Yes, the Camaro is eligible for GMS, Supplier, GM Dealership and Military Discounts (among others). Program guidelines are the bible regarding vehicle eligibility. Unless the vehicle is EXCLUDED (which Camaro is not), then it is eligible for the discount program. Now with that said, the dealer does have the ability to opt out of any program they choose. So the dealer does have final call on whether they will honor or not. Also on our Camaro Launch page: * Is the Camaro going to be offered at G.M.S pricing? Camaro will be eligible for GMS, Supplier, Dealership Employees, and Military Discount among other corporate discount programs. Please review eligibility requirements to ensure incentive compatibility. I hope this clarifies the issue for all of you! :::UPDATE::: The websites are not updated with 2010 information. So, it's not a matter of being eligible or not (it is), but that the sites have not been updated with 2010 data. Our web team is working hard to get this update.. "Program guidelines are the bible regarding vehicle eligibility."
We all know this is in there for a reason. The best way to determine eligiblity is to run a VIN Incentive Lookup to be sure. If your dealer is NOT an idiot he will know what this is!

Will be printing this out and handing it to my dealer who said "IT DOES NOT APPLY TO THE 2010 CAMARO"
Obviously he doesn't want to give me the discount...which makes me wonder, 1) does it come out of his profit? 2) is it charged back to GM? 3) Can he take the discount and pocket it as if it was going to me and GM wouldn't know it? Then why not give it to me?

I think the bigger question here is when? We've all been told the discounts will apply "from day one". Well, we have passed "day one", and the GM Discount websites still don't have any information regarding how much those discounts will be. Myself and many others have sent e-mails to these websites and not received any viable responses as of yet. Cars are being delivered now, so many people are going to be missing out on their discounts if they don't release some numbers real soon. But as always, we do appreciate your input Scotty!

For those dealers with autobook....you have numbers, but as we ALL KNOW, the INVOICE is the FINAL word.
