SW Retro Chambered Cat-back

I was wondering what "chambered" means and what it does/how it works.
I'll be getting the system here in August.

They're not actually chambered per se like a Flowmaster or the likes. They are a glasspack style muffler with enlarged sections around a louvered core that act as small resonance chambers. All of their mufflers have louvered cores. That's like 1950's tech right there.........LOL. They say it's not any type of restriction, but after comparing them to Borla and MagnaFlow or even Dynomax, I don't see how it could be as free flowing. It is a good sounding system for sure. Definitely one of the bether sounding systems for this car. Fitment is generally pretty good and build quality is good too.

I have it and love the sound. The fact that it doesn't flow as well and make as much power as other exhaust is a joke. Im having no issues with my cam/heads car making good power

It's the internal design compared to a MagnaFlow or Borla which are straight through, smooth. It's probably minimal at best though and the sound is very good.

how exactly does it not "flow" as well as the others? it is a straight thru design, other than the cats it is a straight thru design, hell you can look down the line and see day light at the other end thru most of it....LOL heck even the high flow cats you can see thru to an extent.

This is what the chambered section looks like. There's one on each side right after the x pipe and another set where the mufflers would be.
