catback exhaust
Help me choose the best sounding catback exhausts.
I have it narrowed down between 2 of them. My car is stock with the exception of a CAI. Corsa-catback "sport" p/n 14951 or Borla-catback atak p/n 140356 |

Find people local to you that have these exhaust setups and listen to them in person. Figure out which you prefer. You're gonna get 100 different opinions when you ask people their personal preferences. I don't like either. But it's not going on my car so that's irrelevant.

My (and many others) advice---start from the FRONT of the car.
A set of LT headers will make more change in sound than ANY catback. https://youtu.be/5L9q-f_OcXs (my car when it had stock catback with catless LT headers. Best $500 ever spent)

I voted for the Corsa, but personally I love my Solo catback. If you have a L99 you should definitely go Corsa or Solo for the drone free guarantee. With LT's I am still drone free with my Solo catback and it gets LOUD when you get on it, but is still nice enough in the cabin that you can hold a normal volume conversation.

Have the borla attak and it sounds great. Just added StainlessWorks headers and high flow cats. Just sounds awesome!

I have installed all of these and I would vote for Magaflow. Great quality and sound.

While many companies make quality exhaust systems that cater to many different tastes, I think it should suffice to say that Corsa is most likely among the highest, if not the highest quality you can get for the 5th generation Camaro.
As others have stated, it's best to start at the front of the engine to get a more impactful change to the tone of your vehicle but, if you fancy yourself a drone free, high quality piece of precision engineering, I'd take a hard look at Corsa--tone notwithstanding. You still have to cater to your ears. I for one, really like the brash tone of good old Flowmasters but, with these cars, I'd lend myself a spot of refinement and go with something I find decidedly more mature and sophisticated. If I were to ever find myself seriously considering parting ways with my NPP exhaust, I'd be hard pressed to go with any other brand than Corsa.
