How bout a drag version Camaro6?
Since GM has given us the 5th gen in a few versions Z28, ZL1 a 1LE and the Copo.
What's everyone's opinion on a drag version Camaro? Street legal of course

Will never happen but it would be cool. Maybe just different gears, suspension and no options. I'd buy it if I were in the market.

Would be cool and nothing is impossible but I doubt it will come to fruition.

I think a version/option package that favors drag racing would be more popular than a track oriented version/option package.
Chevy, give us the LT4 minus the supercharger, the good fuel pump, the ZL1 diff, a raised hood, no spoiler, and perhaps V6 rear brakes. And some optional gear ratios. If there is a mileage penalty, so be it. Call it the Street COPO SS option. 1SS only. Anyone interested?

I would be in. I would think a Camaro similar to the Z28 in weight with the same engine and a hp bump would be about it.

Maybe a Drag Racing themed car, but it still has to handle and be safe on the road. I guess a monster motor, something like the Hellcat would be a good start.

GM could do a Z28 type car but with more drag racing focused. I wouldn't think it would take much the Z28 is lighter and has a good engine to get more power out of.

I think a package would be cool. Like offer a drag specific package and offer a road course specific package. each would have different gears, and specific wheel/tire package. could be cool. doubt they would ever do it though.

I would have been interested in acquiring a Copo had they allowed it to be Tagged like the orginal Copo's. To be true to their heritage, they should have been street legal.

Yes an lt1.but with a hp bump sorta like the "boss". Other then that your not even close. Reread that and then look up a 1ss specs. Check back with us when done.
