Will the 6th Gen Camaro Be the Fastest Car You've Owned?
I currently drive the Tenth Generation 2014 Impala LS with a 2.5 L, 4-cyl. engine with 195 h.p. I would say the 0-60 time is about 8 or 9 sec. I'm probably way off though. There are specs. for the V-6 which is 0-60 in 6.8 sec. rated at 305 h.p.
So, stepping into a new 6th gen Camaro 2LT V-6 with a 0-60 time of 5.1 econds with the automatic tranny, 13.5 sec in the 1/4 mile and a 12% lbs/h.p. improvement over the 2015 model is a definite YES for me. This will be the FASTEST CAR that I will have the pleasure of driving the hell out of!

I'd say so.. If I do get it. Next up would be my Mustang and then 05 GTO. 10 cars under my belt so far. Whoops. From 1.7l to a 6.0. Need a 7.0.

Yep. I've only had two cars so far. I had a Cobalt 2.2 (0-60 was about 3 days) for about 7 years, and I've had an Optima Turbo for the last 3 years (0-60 is about 6.5 sec).

Faster than my '99 SS was, so definitely will be the fastest I've owned.

Yes. And, I'm only getting the V6.
edit: I should add that I had 2 x 1995 Z28's for many years. The V6 should be slightly faster than the 4 gen LT1. Those cars were more than enough for me. I'd probably kill myself with a SS. Last edited by GTIanZ28; 09-25-2015 at 06:32 PM. |

I had a '98 SS, it was pretty quick for "only" 320 hp.

It definitely was. I managed 12.98 on my 1st time out with DRs. Never got to practice enough to get full use of them. I had previously run 13.0 on BFG KDW tires. This was all before I got the trans rebuilt and new stall but never made a pass with them before I sold it.

To answer the question, no, no matter which flavor of the 6th Gen is considered.

No way. I had a much faster C6 Z06, and a 99 Z28 with a 408 stroker that was even faster than the Z06.
