Instrument Cluster Mod

Here's my latest mod, just finished today! Wanted the look of the concept Camaro's instrument cluster. I'm pretty happy with it. Required taking off the plexiglass to get in there and paint the black wells silver.

Actually, it wasn't too difficult. In fact, if I were to do it again, I think I could even salvage the plexiglass and regllue it on because it chipped on me in only one place.

Basically I used a flat head screwdriver and tapped it with a small hammer at the seam to separate the plexiglass from the cluster. Honestly, if you do it slow enough and work your way around the edge, gently pulling it apart bit by bit, you can probably reuse the plexi.

I painted it using Chrome Spray Paint and put it right back the way it was. I also painted the outer dash cluster bezel so it matched the inner part.

It's too bad they didn't put it in production from the concept. But if they did, I wouldn't have had it to mod, right? That's a big part of the fun of having cars like these.
