Sick car from the factory for sure. Will be interesting to see if/how Ford & Chevy address this.

Well lets see: 10:80s with only 275 series DRs, and 11:20s on street tires!

I'm certain these times will get better in capable hands. I think it's safe to assume the car may be capable of 10s on street rubber, and 10:50s on DRs.

I think we can close the book on this one folks. This is the baddest muscle car of all time. Now we have to wait for possibly more surprises in track times and pricing?

Nice transmission and brakes and track times. Somebody will have to cry uncle in this horsepower war. Will it be Ford or GM ?

I was just looking into this - seems like some people with minimal mods have gotten to 1g cornering with the challenger


I still dont think Dodge is looking to compete in the corners. Muscle cars were for straight lines. Googling these cars with mods etc always brings up highway pulls or dragstrip blasts

Didn't these numbers come from Dodge? If so, I'd bet they wrung everything out with "capable" hands... and drag radials. Kind of like saying wait until Joe Blow get a ZL1 on the Nurburgring isn't it?

There are still the persistent rumors of a 10:58 @ near 130-mph out of the automatic car with Dodge engineers testing during a closed track event. But then again I guess these times aren't impressive to a ZL1 or GT500 owner LOL. The problem with your theory is Dodge is typically very conservative with their estimates.

figure just a hair over 600rwhp@4400#'s , 126mph sounds about right...130 would be a stretch

Think closer to 630whp maybe even 640. This car with a pulley, race gas and a tune will go 9's.

Regardless of whether you're a Challenger fan or not, you've got to admit that Dodge has done a great job of building interest in the Hellcat. They've revealed details of the car slowly, bit by bit, to increase the hype. It seems like they release a new video every day showing the car doing different things. The burnout video with the two Hellcats was particularly effective.

MOPAR has stepped up its game folks -- this party is just getting started!
