What good comes from putting a IC core in the intake manifold?

Since it has no way to externally cool the core, wouldn't the IM heat build up heat the core and essentially heat up the intake charge even more?

You guys might be right. I was thinking it had a honeycomb shape and was there to straighten the air out entering into the air inlets for each cylinder. I was also thinking this is just a progress photo and that big flat spot will not do any good for the air entering the plenum if left as is.

This is going to be a Air to Water intercooler for boosted applications like turbo or centri supercharger.
This will be close to how the zl1 or zr1 intercoolers are in the intake manifolds. These will be plumbed with water. |

Thank you for clearing that up. So then this particular intake is for a boosted system.

Won't buy it if its a huge chunk of metal, I don't care what they coat it with. Some of their facebook posts have stated the intercooler setup won't be as efficient as a large unit mounted in front of the radiator but is more intended for vehicles with space issues where a traditional intercooler won't fit. |

I could use a new paper weight for my desk. $5 for the piston.
