I put shorty headers on my car 3 years ago,they have no coating on them,and starting to rust a little,so what’s the best way to cover them or tape them or paint them,thanks.

Me, I'd pull them off, remove the rust, then use high temp paint.

I've also removed rust with soaking the part in vinegar so maybe keeping them wrapped in soaked paper towels might work too. Depends on how much rust you've got.

Since they are in non coated I wouldn’t wrap them. Remove them sand away the rust and paint them with ceramic header pint.

Thanks, would be much easier to spray them for sure,and just never was confident spraying even hi temp paint on them and not stinking or burning off the paint,any particular paint,or just any from Lowe’s.

And actually there not even rusting after further inspection,but would definitely still sand them for proper bonding with new paint.

I've used both Rust-Oleum and VHT.
Both seem about the same and worked well.
