I had a 2nd run in last week with a modified Jetta GLI that I blew the doors off of 2 years ago.

The kid kept blippin the throttle to get is blow off valve to sneeze at me.

I just laughed at him and waved.

I guess he didn't learn from the last time....

Some of those pick up trucks are nasty and have walked very nice cars.

Also if i see a nice car on the highway or road as i go by it or next to it, I will hit it then slow up as a way of saying nice car. I would put the window down but the gf gets mad, if i get them the thumbs up they cant see due to window tint.

LOL I just got back from taking my 2LT 'Vert down to FL. It seemed that every time one of those Ricer cars came along with a fart can on it, they were determined to get me to race with them. When I wouldn't, I'd get a big glare and they would just hit the gas and take off, sounding like an over-revved lawn mower engine.

They were quite entertaining!!

I agree. When you have graphics on the car like this kid, an over the top wing, and exhaust that makes the thing sound ridiculous.

Example:

Ricer

Not a Ricer

Ricer

Ultimate Ricer

I had about 30 minutes left on my trip when I was riding behind a GT 500 'Vert. After I bit of that I start to hear a blowoff valve in the distance, I look over to my right and there is this younger kid in a VW Golf he had put a turbo on....this dude thought his car was so bad.

I immediately start laughing at him because I knew what he wanted. He didn't enjoy me laughing either. After about a mile of him revving at me I sat up in my seat like I was ready to drop it and go, so I pass the GT500.

Then I give him the point to go, I never accelerated. He guns it. When he figures out I didn't race him, he drops back even with me again. By the time he gets back to me I can't help but smile at him again.

Again with the revving...for about another mile.

I rolled down my window, waved, and got off on my exit.

Poor fella.

An the guy in the Mustang was probably thinking the same thing about you.

After I buy my next car, then I'm going to buy a late 80s RX7 and swap in a LS3.
Or a Miata.

There's a guy on here who has a Ford Flex that runs 12s!
I'm thinking that will be pretty fun to surprise many many people.

Think you should come down to LR, or give me a little warning before you come to Tulsa next time. We need to let Rick tune my truck then line the Fords up.

You have no idea!! LOL! The reaction in the pits has been absolutely PRICELESS!! I am having more fun racing the Flex than i did with my Mustang or my Camaro! It's an absolute hoot!

It's fun coming across threads like this:

http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78437

or the 2001 Stage 3 Roush Mustang that I beat that posted:

"my daughter videoed me racing this BAD ASS ford flex with a way modified SHO engine and all wheel drive"

Little did he know it really is just a simple tune and methanol! LOL

So yeah, i pretty much surprise everyone! 5000 pound, soccer-mobile doing 0-60 MPH in about 4.3 seconds...LOL!

That being said.... I would love to surprise people a the stop lights, but i resist the temptation and save it for the track! Where I can video tape it and provide timeslips!

Just watched the videos from Lapeer, hilarious! I would love to see this thing at the track or the street for that matter. Talk about the ultimate sleeper, the only thing I could think of that would be more surprising is a BA Minivan! LOL
