Sound like traction control may be kicking in. Next time try it with traction control turned off and see if it acts different.

I have the same issue with a manual trans, wind out 1st gear, speed shift to 2nd and I get a delay in throttle response. I do not hit the rev limiter, but I tried a few shorter shifts like at 6500 - 6700 rpm, same speed shift and sometimes chirp the tires. Cannot fiqure this out, I have had a c5, c6, c7 corvette, all manual's and they don't do that.

Torque management.. I have HEARD V6 8speed cars severely benefit from a trans tune.

TM on a manual car after performing a speed shift, what does it recognize? letting the clutch back out too fast on the completed shift? putting the gas back to the floor to fast after completing a speed shift?. Speed shift meaning lift, push the clutch in, shift, let the clutch out and back on the gas to the floor asap. Not talking about power shifts with the gas pinned to the floor.

I have a 2016 V6 and doing a rolling start with all seasons you're not going to spin the tires at 10mph. With traction control off it will chirp the tires but you will not smoke em. You don't say if you have a manual or automatic. If you have a manual the 2017 LT has No Lift Shift. read up on it. With traction control on you are forcing the electronic to override. You have to hold the traction control off for 10 seconds to turn off both TCS and stabilTrak. They will reduce engine power and apply braking to one side or the other. Hold for 10 seconds and the burn out symbol will light up under the tach. I have no problem hitting red line maintaining full power. I would guess if you have an auto the same applies. If you are doing a lot of rolling starts with WOT shifts I would suggest changing your rear end fluid.

They have an auto, going off them saying it shifts at redline. Based on what’s described it’s mot a diff issue.

Don't hit redline in 1st... .. The car doesn't like it... Try shifting at around 6400 to second...in second gear I can't remember if I redline or not,but 1st gear will give you that hiccup

I agree that maybe the case, like I said I have short shifted 1-2 shift at 6500 and speed shift with a 2nd gear chirp instead of the delay if I shift too close to 7k. I will experiment more on my 2016 V6 Manual that I know doesn't have NLS. The car also only has trac control on or off, no matter how long you push the button down. Btw I like your hiccup reference, that's better than my "delay" explanation |

Almost seems as though you're describing no-lift-shift, at first...
