^ GM is most likely happy that they ended up in this guy's hands, as opposed to the guy who sold the headlights on eBay. The supplier/whoever leaked these is the one at fault. camaro2lt just saved the day by spending his money to buy them and stop them from getting out to the general public. Again, good for you camaro2lt

I'm just curious how the heck someone would even know to buy them in the first place....how you'd get your hands on them.

Us mortals would have no clue that these were for sale or where to look. camaro2lt obviously is more knowledgeable on this than the rest of us.

Sounds like the supplier reached out to him first, so it's not like the headlights which were posted on eBay. The eBay listing for those made it sound like the seller didn't really know what he had, probably just assumed it was a weird aftermarket 2014-2015 headlight. I've actually seen a 2014 Camaro with aftermarket headlights similar to the 2016's with the LED strip here in Florida.

The normal person looking for parts for sale would of not been able to find these. It was really out of luck and that I've bought many parts from this supplier prior to these bumpers got in my hands. There is no website or anything like that. It's just what they offer to sell.

I personally knew he had these way back when...and he's a good friend. He is also VERY intelligent and VERY ambitious...and I envy his passion. I surmise he said something cause he saw the Gen6 headlights that another good friend of mine snagged that I just happen to see in person at the Gen6 reveal on Belle Isle.

I didn't comment in February to factually validate because thats his business nor would I bring it up because it's not my business...

And to all the jock straps that bashed him...called him out, talked s**t about him....absent you didn't get to see s**t...

99.999999% of the stuff that gets posted on the internet is fake or a lie.
What was the expectation here? That people would just automatically believe him? When most stuff on the 'net is fake?

I was one that called BS at first, but was contacted by a member that I respected on here that assured me that if he said he had them he did, and I apologized to him at that time.
But I can see those that did not believe him, and he was refusing to provide proof, where they were coming from. In this day as age of the Internet, with so much BS going on. People can claim about anything without any proof at all.
My opinion is he should have never mentioned he had them unless he was prepared to provide proof. That is opening yourself up to all kinds of trouble.

Camaro2lt and I exchanged messages. He said he had been in contact with GM internally and communicated what he had.

I told to him to basically shut up about it and lay low. Which he did.

Look, unless he stole them, which he didn't from what we know, it's GM's problem not his. But he took the higher path and laid low and quick talking about making it a non-issue.

I'm sure GM is happy with his decision and I'm sure based on this and headlamp additional security measures will be in place at the suppliers.

Most people would have wanted the attention this would have received. Camaro2lt elected not to do so for his reasons, which I understand from what he shared.

And yes, the internet rallying cry of "pics or it didn't happen" makes most of us doubtful. Heck he could have come on and said, I have full pics of the car I just won't show you.

If you don't like what's being said or posed....move on and ignore it.

If you respond negatively with malice, you are responsible for the content and intent whether you "feel or deserve" you are owed truth. Who the hell are you to demand truth based on the assertions of another you deem it to be untrue? How do you know its untrue? Who made you the 6th gen gods? Because 99.9999999999999% of everything posted on the internet is lies...wow....an attempt to justify why and what you said.
