2016 Convertible "confirmed"??

I was thinking they'd pass on the 'vert debut until the 2017 MY. But checking out an article about Android Auto and Apple's Car Play apps, I noted a subtle reference. Not exactly pinpointing it down....but I infer it to mean there will be a 2016 convertible model if this info rings true. Most likely debuting in the spring, as many have already suspected.

Quote:
The following models equipped with a seven-inch MyLink infotainment system will be compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay starting the 2016 model year:
Spark Cruze Malibu Camaro Camaro Convertible Silverado and Silverado HD
Models equipped with the eight-inch MyLink that will be compatible with Apple CarPlay include: Cruze Malibu Impala Volt Camaro Camaro Convertible Corvette Corvette Convertible Colorado, Silverado Silverado HD, Tahoe and Suburban

Donlen Fleet Management in the Chevrolet Canada section shows the Camaro Convertible Order Bank opening December 10, 2015 as well as the Camaro Order Bank July 23, 2015.

In the US section, both have TBD instead of a date.

I know Canada and USA order tracking differs but nothing about how their order bank openings act. So it looks like GM Canada is expecting a 2016 Camaro Convertible to start production sometime in the Spring.

Hopefully, they've found a way to have a dual hinged trunk area so that there is no need for a manual tonneau installation. The back deck lid should raise up & cover the folded top automatically.

The interiors shown in the Playbook seem to show a molded cover. That makes me think (hope) it will be an automatic hard tonneau.
