if you can when you put the stripes on take some pictures of the job. I've often thought of it striping up myself but I would definitely like to see a nice step-by-step of somebody else doing it first. Only do it if you get a chance to take a few pictures if you can't you can't no biggie

I’ll try to take some pics. I need to find a good stripe kit first. It seems like that may be harder than I thought since the SS Rally Stripes won’t work on the LT non-vented hood, and I’m not a fan of the single center stripe Chevy offers for the LT. I’m considering having stripes painted on, but we’ll see what I can find in vinyl first.

Just smack it to the left and push up.

Trying to overpower the safety lock with a gradual pressure would be difficult.

Chevy does make rally stripes for the 1LT models. I have them on mine.

The problem I’m running into is that I’m installing the SS style rear spoiler on my LT and most of the LT stripe kits don’t come with stripes for the spoiler, and the SS strips kits that have the spoiler pieces also come with the hood vent cut outs which the LT doesn’t have.

BTW, did you install your own rally stripes?

Yeah if you can take a few pictures that would be great. If you end up going the painted route that does turn out amazing as long as you get the right guy to do it. If you click on my profile and look at my 2002 F body those were painted on and I never had an issue in over 13 years
