Today I stopped by a shop to pick up some rear brake pads to make do until I get I replace the rotors. Told the lady I had a 2012 Camaro SS. She typed into the system and then asked if I had the 6 cylinder? I stared at her for about a minute. She said "I'll take that as a no". But then she followed up by asking if SS meant supercharged? I left the store. I'll order on-line.

I got mine brand new for $18.8K and I didn't want a V8. I wanted something different, sick of gas guzzling V8 engines in my other vehicles, and the V6 fullfills my every need in the speed department. I don't race so being 7 tenths of a second faster in the 1/4 mile is not a huge concern for me. There is always somebody faster so I base my decisions on overall value for my dollar. I love the way the V6 sounds at high revs. It sounds like a formula one car. I love it!

I usually hear "you should have bought an old one, the real muscle car.. referring to the 60's". Im 34 and reply with "this is my generations muscle car" and that usually shuts them up. Some people are just douche's.

At the first cruise in I went to, a guy asked me if my 13 ZL1 Vert cost ~25K before taxes. I said that amount wouldn't even get a 6 cyl vert.

When i first got my car my brother in law kept telling everyone that it was a v6 and it couldn't be a v8 because it didn't sound like a v8 (because i still had the stock mufflers) and he would also tell a lot of people that he could beat me in a race with his ford diesel truck which was stock and not fast at all, i would just laugh when the other guys would tell me what he would be saying

I always get the "oh... It's just a v6" kinds of people around here but HEY you're the one that broke your neck to turn and look at it!
