However, I'm disappointed at the amount of "drone" inside the car. After 20 min. of driving I almost had a headache, and am considering going back the the factory exhaust. This is very frustrating because I had them welded up and so I can't get a refund. Am I missing something here?? Would appreciate anyone on the forum from MRT on some help on this matter or anyone else who might have a idea on getting rid of this awful "drone."
Put more miles on them. After maybe 300 miles, the mufflers become "seasoned" enough that the sound mellows out some. I'd say just give it some time...

Along with the mrt 2.0, I will be installing a Cold Air Inductions CAI this week. Has anyone else tried this combo, and if so, how is the sound level?

Had mine installed 3 weeks ago, and it's already mellowed out. No more drone really, and only hear it a startup and accellerating

If you could sound clip your CAI and MRT2.0 set up I would greatly appreciate that. I'm planning on getting the MRT and CAI or Roto FAb at the end of the month. I been holding off on jumping the gun because Im still researching. Thanks in advance if you can do this.

I was complaining about drone in the beginning with my mrt 2.0, I even went as far as dynomating some of the truck ( it helped my my sound system and help hide some of the drone) I have put 3000 miles on the exhaust which was welded on and I have love it. The drone mellows out over time. When i asked a fellow camaro buddy how to eliminate the drone, he looked at me and said "welcome to preformance exhaust, we are driving a sports car not a Prius" best of luck!

Camaro Convertible (top up) + MRT 2.0

Just got my new MRT 2.0 installed today and I wanted to share an in-cabin clip of it in action. This is a soft-top, so I'm pretty sure the sound is way more pronounced from inside the cabin than it would be in a couple.

Smile on my face says it all.

Thank you, scrming, MRT, and AutoAgenda for making this all happen for me!

Haha. Would have liked to see your face going using the paddle shift and really getting on it.

Vkerster, ive put about 3k miles on my MRT V2, and I dont even notice the drone really unless im cruising on the freeway in about a 5 mph window. Even then, its not bad, and nothing a stereo cant drown out with the volume set at about 23. So I dont know if it gets better with time, or if you get used it. Im constantly on the freeway when driving to work and it never bothers me at all.

If you got them welded on, may as well stick it out man and see if you get used to it or if it gets better. I remember when I first got mine, I noticed every hum and gurgle, now I can only tell I have aftermarket exhaust when I gun it.

That sounds awesome. I installed my mrt v2 a few weeks ago but don't have any miles on it yet. I need to get it out on the road very soon. I also installed a rotofab cai. Can't wait to get it out on the freeway.
