it's all written in the sky, it will be the lt4 from the vette and the v6 or a new design, will follow. in 96 or 97 when the ls1 was in the vette, it followed in the model f later in 98.
at 460hp it will be a nice upgrade from the ls3 at 400/426. hope for the automatic fans they'll have as much hp as we do for the manuals. |

V8 all the way, there's little doubt in my mind that the LT1 will be the Camaro SS engine of choice. That said, I think there could be room in GM's stable for a TTV6 AWD Alpha, but Chevy's not the brand for that car.

V8 > TTV6 all day. Sure the TT V6 is easier to tap for more power because it already has boost but nothing beats the sound and the power curve (have you seen the stock LT1 torque curve? it's a work of art) of a V8.

You need to keep the V8 for the "purists". Some people would take a V8 over a more powerful V6 just because it's a V8. You don't drive around with a dyno chart taped to your car.
As for me, the TTV6 would be my choice, and I would even scrap the stick for an 8 speed auto. I think the AWD option would be awesome, but it would take away the weight savings in the new platform. Isn't there already a new V6 planned? 345 hp I think.
