With that said, I'd love to see a unique (anniversary only) color, like a white diamond tricoat , blue stripe(s) and blue convertible top (and throw in a blue interior package).
Reminiscent of the '67 Pace Car

I want that orange color on the truck.LOL

I'm still trying to figure out how you have a 45th or 50th anniversary edition when they weren't made for seven years. Still think my 45th AE was a good looking car but was always curious.

Since first production. Not continuous production.

Sure hope it is not matt paint. I don't care for that look.

If GM builds the 50th package to my likeing I will be purchaseing one. If not, then I will be ordering a 2017 and creating my own 50th anniversary package.

So no one has any assumptions based on history or facts? Looks like white/orange stipes was a possibility but since they made a 5th pace car like that chances are slim. We have white/red stripes, red/silver stipes. Then the 45th out of left field. The Pontiac thing was white/blue and a few silver anniversaries.

Same way Corvette could have a 50th anniversary even though there was never a 1983 model year Corvette.

Correct, 50 years after the debut of the 1953 Corvette they had a 2003 50th Anniversary even though they never produced and skipped the 1983 model year Corvette (the C4 was supposed to debut in '83 but they couldn't get it ready in time.)

But the Corvette never actually went out of production for a number of years, it was just delayed. It does seem to diminish the meaning of an anniversary model if continuous production doesn't matter. I guess marketing doesn't care about heritage, just sales.

The 30th anniversary edition (1997) was white with orange stripes. Not that they couldn't use that combination again...
