Blade Spoiler
I currently have the stock spoiler on my car and I want to install a Blade Spoiler. The only thing stopping me is I do not want to drill into the car. Can someone that installed the blade spolier let me know if drilling is needed. I appreciate the help. thanks

Which one is the blade? Either the high rise(which needs a new trunk lid), or the dovetail. most dove tails line up with stock holes if im not mistaken.

Thats what I was afraid of. Thanks for the info and quick response. I wonder if two sided tape would work. The holes that need to be drilled are for the two end pieces correct?

Yes, the holes are for the side pieces. The side pieces are also held in place with double sided tape. It isnt bad at all to drill the holes! Its covered up and no one will ever know.

Or put it back to stock.....hmmmmmm I contacted MMaureen@RodgersChevrolet also. great price and free shipping. I am still wondering if the double sided tape will hold them without drilling... I guess I am going to have to make a decision...

yeah, but I would like the Dovetail/blade spoiler if it was a single piece instead of 3 piece. does anyone make one that is a single piece that LOOKS like the GM version and not some big old blob that looks like it was made out of clay?

I installed a dovetail type spoiler on my brother in laws mustang about a year ago and only used the double sided tape for the pieces on the rear quarter panels and he's had no issues. It was the same, just one screw and it seems crazy to pull the whole trunk apart for a tiny screw. You just have to make sure you do a good job with the surface prep to ensure the double sided tape adhere's properly and you should be good. The one little screw isn't going to hold the pieces on the car at 80mph if the tape gave way anyway lol

I would recommend you take a good hard look at the MPD1 Spoiler. It has a similar height and is one piece. No drilling needed. works with the existing holes. Most important if you are ordering it pre-painted or not, they send your part in an extraordinary attention to detail. I have the MPD1 on my car after trying to install the Havoc. Havoc was CRAP. I sent it back and Phastek took it without question and moved me over to the MPD1. Best move i ever made....
