People riding my ass?

Hey guys new member here! I posted an intro btw some forums are very strict about that lol. I just got my car a week ago and its a yellow 2014 RS/2SS and it seems people ride my ass everywhere I drive. Is this normal haters or is it just me going the speed limit? I get some real pos rides passing and tailgating for no reason. Just wondering if I'm the only one?

When people ride my ass........ I slow down ..way down just to piss them off more. Maybe even tap the brakes a few times. Then I flip them off.

Yep Houston sucks lol. That's why I moved to Conroe, still drivers suck and the traffic is just as bad.

Just created a similar thread to this yesterday haha, to answer your question, we all experience it. I didn't have this bad of a problem with the ls, once I upgraded to the V8 I have economy cars going out of their way to tailgate me. Literally Honda accords/civics going full throttle while I'm cruising just to annoy me or for whatever reason I don't know. Some people just get pissed that you have a SS and tailgate you hard.

Most of my problems have been with Ford, Honda and Audi drivers, RAM trucks. Going over speed limit won't help, even when 5mph over, they push 3/4 throttle on their economy cars to keep up. Slowing down helps temporarily but they go back do the same thing. It's jealousy, but when I didn't have this car I respected everyone else on the street. But we are car enthusiasts so it's different for us.

What you described is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm glad its not just me and it seems to be something I will have to deal with. Sorry I did not even think to search for older threads.

Get a really loud and obnoxious exhaust that crackles and spits flames. Problem solved.

Yup that's Houston for ya. I usually drive in the SW area around Sugar Land. The speed limit is not enough. I rarely see anyone in the left lanes going less than 75... That's without traffic. While I do talk about the fast drivers well that really is the only way to safely navigate in a sense. Nobody is going to let you merge because their in too much of a rush than to be courteous and let a slower driver in.
Congrats on the car btw, maybe they are just trying to get a better look. I know when I drive my camaro I do pull a bit close to see if I recognize them on C5 and see what mods are done, but I guess anyone tailgating you with a 02 Toyota Echo wouldn't care!
Since you are new to piloting the unique and complicated chariot known as a camaro it is a lot different than other cars to drive. Like someone said earlier you do have a different feel for cars around you. Things feel closer than they appear and if you can't see it then it's either right at you or 3 ft away. And vision is one of those things you have to be careful of. You'll see when you order a route 44 drink from the sonic drive through.

Nice... but if you're going to do that 'round these parts make sure you're also holding a shotgun.
