We were close to the tornado that hit in Watford City North dakota. I have taken it to a PDR guy and he said it may be totaled, if not it has to go to the body shop PDR can't be used on it. What do you guys think? We have never dealt with hail before and are a bit overwhelmed. The big dents show up but there are hundreds of slight dents.

We have 3 vehicles that were all sitting right next to each other and the camaro looks the worst. The 2003 tahoe, which we weren't too concerned for, has the least amount of damage. We are here working in the oil fields but so no garage just work force housing. If this gets fixed, it is going home to Michigan and sitting in a garage.

It will be totaled. I had the same thing happen last year. They totaled the car and I bought it back and fixed it. The car wasn't the same after and I sold it. Don't let them make you fix it. Total it out trust me

Has your insurance adjuster looked at it? That's the only opinion that will matter.

That dent right on the roof body line looks bad bad bad. it will be totaled.

Think about this.
New hood
New fenders
New trunk

Body work on Roof and rear 1/4 panels, maybe front bumper.

Now you have to worry about paint. The paint will never be the same.

If you are lucky they will total it.

Hail was golf ball with tennis ball size thrown into the mix. How much do they sell it back for? Just an estimate. The adjuster comes next week.

It's not totaled by any means, it'll be all conventional repair instead of PDR. New panels and new paint

I'm a causalty claims adjuster. This is totaled. I've seen cars with less hail and they get totaled. The buy back would depend on the market value of the car but I bought mine back for 7k it was a 2010 v6 2lt they paid it out at 21k

Sorry but no!

My old V6 got hit by a hail storm, its actually on youtube lol.

It had over 500 dents!

They replaced the hood and trunk and then PDRed the roof and other misc spots. They also did body work on the rear fenders up to the roofline along the area that connects to the rear window.

The car looked immaculate, I really was amazed. Cost of repairs was $10,000.

Oh yeah? Are you using a hail matrix to do your estimates? This is not totaled at alllllllll. I'm a PDR guy and have seen waaaaay worse damage and the cars were not totaled at all. If it were an older vehicle, with a lot of miles...it probably would total out but this vehicle is only a year old....still holds a lot of value. By the pictures, most of it will be fixed conventionally.
