I have been very happy with mine so far. They fit great, look good, and perform.

I would be interested to see the responses in a couple years. Have the OBX headers been available for a year yet? Shoddy manufacturing usually takes some time to surface.

I've installed dozens of sets on 4th gen F bodies over the last 5 years or so never had any complaints and the ones on buddies cars i still keep in contact with are holding up great. They were kind of crappy the first year but then they got better and better. These are the ones i will be ordering for my drop top SS (once it is built).

The quality complaints that you have seen from some vendors may not become quite as consistent until you start to reach a higher mileage range.

Like one poster said, some of the issues were not as often quality, but customer service and assistance as well. If a company refuses to provide reimbursement or even replacement if they just don't fit.. why bother?

If you HONESTLY believed they were the equal quality, why would you need to start this thread? Not bashing you, just curious is all...
I never said that they were equal quality I just wanted to see if anyone has actually had any fitment or customer service problems with them on our platform. I mean Maryland showed that the Kooks and other more expensive brands were better quality.

Guys the way I look at this is the header market is like the wheel market. You can by cast wheels that cost less or you can go for the crown jewel HRE. As someone who runs a sales and marketing arm I can tell you that customers will be buyers at diffrent price points. Kinda of like the guy who buys a 1SS car vs a 2SS/RS. He decided that the upsell was not for him but the market still has to cater to that buyer; which GM did. Each product has its place in the market and no one should be condeemed for spending their hard earned money! For all the guys that scream buy american... part of being an american is freedom of choice.

You are correct everyone has that freedom of choice.

No matter what the long term effects are.
I guess we'll see how everyone feels about this when the Chinese are the dominate economy. And that pay check your getting now...seems alot smaller.

OBX is an American Company. I'll say it again...no one has ever proven that the fifth generation Camaro headers by OBX are manufactured in China.

Ignorance is bliss...
