Door jam scuffs

Alright, my wife thinks I'm too OCD about my car, but I don't think I'm "too" OCD - I just love this car!!! Sooo... I hate when people get in or out and drag their feet on the jam, especially at the dealership. She's going in for her first oil change and to alleviate this problem I incorporated painters tape. My wife just rolled her eyes at me, but it's my cheap insurance policy.

How do you close your trunk without touching the paint?

OK, try not to laugh too hard, but I usually close the trunk by putting my fingers on the bowtie and closing with that. Don't get me wrong I have a lot of fun in this car and realize that it was built for fun but I just want to keep it nice and I have found that most people don't respect your property like you do so I just try to take care of it and incorporate the Golden rule and treat others property like I would want mine treated.

That is exactly how I close mine. There should be some sort of grab handle on the inside.

There is, but it pops it open instead

I Keep A Clean Wash Cloth Under The Driver's Seat - Always Use It On The Trunk - Try To Never Touch The Paint With My Hands - Hood Or Trunk

The worst thing that gets me sideways fast is I have a black ZL1. What they do is when they are looking at the car and say,"what is that?" and take their finger and rub on it to see if whatever the spot is will come off. I just about go off on them!

Absolutely right move. I put painter's tape on the door edges to prevent the service people from scraping the door against a wall or on another car.

In all honesty, you cannot prevent everything, but you should do your best to prevent the obvious areas from damage.

I close the trunk by grabbing the trunk latch itself and pulling it down. Sometimes takes a couple of tries since it is covered in plastic
