Lifter noise

Do any of you guys get lifter rattle on takeoff or downshift acceleration? Test drove a '15 ZL1 today that seemed to have a little clatter. Didn't really have a chance to investigate it. Sounded like it dissipated as the test drive went on.

Thanks!

The engine bay has always had a certain chatter to it. Sounds like a typewriter but from my understanding this is a normal sound from these cars

The car was most likely sitting for a while before you drove it, and the lifters were collapsed under the spring pressure.

A properly running LSA has no such noise.

None, which is strange for me. The LS motors have been known for having noisy valvetrains, so I was expecting the usual 5 minute clanker during start-up. So far my valvetrain has been quiet and smooth!
