Is Something Missing Here?

Looked under the trunk mat to put something away noticed this section that looks like something should have been here given the straps. Can someone tell me what goes here? Is it something that just not included with a 1LE?

I noticed the same thing myself. I wasn't able to figure out if I was missing anything.

Should be a little plastic funnel for adding fuel from a gas can.

Thats how i found out about this in the first place. I found that funnel in the glove box, and I was moving it to the trunk and noticed this space. The funnel is way smaller than this opening and doesn't look like it fits in there.

Same empty spot with mine. Didn't know about the funnel. I figured the spot was reserved for non-run-flat Camaro models, like for a jack or a can of tire inflator.

Thats what i was hoping for, but didn't want to assume as i already found out my dealer forgot to take out one of the shipping spacers. So i did want to find out they missed something else.

I'm fairly certain this came up in the past and it was determined that empty area was for the jack on the non-runflat models. What's in that zippy-bag? I don't recall my 2SS having that, even. I keep a couple of cans of fix-a-flat where you have that bag.

The Zippy-bag is an air compressor. The 1LE does not have run flats or a spare. It gets an air compressor.

My car came with a battery tender so I just stuff it in that spot. Feel free to use it for what you like.

Very common for empty spaces like that. Simply easier to make 1 foam mold fit everything and fill the spots as needed.

To clear up the mystery (after a couple months anyway):

That long empty spot at the top is where the foldable hazard triangle ist stored in EU Camaros. Mine has it in that exact spot, the longish red "box" fits the space perfectly.

On my 2017 it had the GM Camaro battery tender unit. Cost $125 or so and that's where mine was put.

Christopher

P.S Also had the small black funnel in a plastic bag.
