Best Insurance Company for the ZL1
I was wondering if there are good and best for obtaining insurance for the ZL1.
Drivers over 25 only respond please. Personally, State Farm is fairly high. Like $1,100 a year. |

Ask for and see if you can qualify for "pleasure driving" status. Basically, the mileage must stay below 7500 miles per year, and you can keep full coverage. My coverage (Shelby GT500 and SS Camaro) costs around $600.00 annually for the Shelby and around $ $550.00 for the SS. This is State Farm coverage and i'm over 25. Each carrier and state regs will be different for this type of coverage.

I work for AAA insurance and I can tell you asking for the cheapest insurance will give you tons of different answers as there are too many variables at play. The city and state you live in plays a huge factor in insurance cost as well as years driving experience and how many miles per year you drive the car(s)

USAA is the only company I don't even bother quoting against especially if someone has been with them a while. Fortunately (for me ) they only take military and military families so not many peeps qualify

Thanks for the replies.
I said the insurance was $l,l00; it's actually $1,200. I have the 7500 mile restriction, another car and the house on a State Farm policy. I'm 73 and can't remember the DECADE I got my last speeding ticket. I think it was in the 80's. I'm going to force the 1st 1500 hundred miles in order to get it broken in. After that, I doubt it gets 2-3 thousand a year. My other car is a 97 Surburban that has 84,000 miles on it. Go figure. Again thanks for the replies. That's higher than I would have expected given the discounts you should be getting. The only thing I can think of to reduce it some is to put a higher deductible on the ZL1, since you probably won't drive it in inclement weather.

You asked for "best insurance" and let me tell you the best is never the cheapest, especially with insurance. With that said, there are very few companies that qualify as the best (IMO) and none have been mentioned.
If they are spending more money on ads rather than passing the savings to their customers, that should tell you something right there...
