2010-11 Camaro SS on road trips

Just curious how the comfort factor is in a 2010-11 camaro SS coupe on a road trip, say 200-400 mile range? I currently have a 2004 350Z which Ive had since it was new, love the car, although on road trips it is not comfortable at all, hurts my back, have to stop a few times, which normally I only stop for gas and to wizz lol. Would be nice to hear some comments on this!

I've done Reno, NV to Bullhead City, AZ (~550 miles) and Bullhead City to Waco, TX (~1200 miles) and both have been great trips (for comfort in the Camaro, the trip from BHC to Waco was in the midst of this year's Southern snow storm ). Usually stop after 5-6 hours of driving. No issues.

We took my bud's 2006 Mustang GT on a road trip last summer and I gotta say that thing was really comfy! Now I wasn't driving so that might have been why, but when I have sat in the camaros they seem like the seat is wider and more comfortable compared to my Z.

My only caveat is, of course, only 2 people were on these trips. I think making an adult sit in the back seat for 5-6 hours would count as kidnapping or unlawful imprisonment and cruel and unusual punishment.

I have done several road trips in my car, ranging in the 600-700 mi range. Very comfortable car to say the least. I have the full pfadt spring/sway setup as well (slightly firmer ride).

I've done many longer trips, and love the car for long and short cruises.

Most of my outings have been in the range of 200-300 miles. I've racked up almost 30k miles so far in a little over a year. My last really long trip was Seattle to Medford (hotel), then Medford to Redding (In n' Out Burger), west to Eureka, then north along the Oregon/Washington coast with one hotel stop at Yachats, OR and then back to Seattle. 3 day trip, and was driving most of the day all 3 days.

The car is plenty comfortable for me. I mean when you're going 145mph, the trips don't take really long. just kidding!!!

But seriously, the seats are pretty comfortable. There is plenty of leg room to stretch out if you have the car on cruise control. I haven't felt the urge to stop on the 270 mile trip I take every once in awhile.

I currently have 2LT which I have driven round trip from Austin to Oklahoma City and Austin to Dallas a few times. It's been a nice comfortable ride each time. I will be trading it in for an SS convertible, and I'm looking into doing a road trip to Oshawa in June. The Oshawa trip would be about 3500 miles round trip for me.

SC to Oshawa, then to St. Louis and back to SC last year. It was a breeze. Best Camaro yet to travel long roads with. However, as mentioned, I'd NEVER take more than 2 people on long trips. Whoever gets the back seat will hate you forever. Unless they're 2 1/2 years old.

Have done Arizona to South Carolina and back last summer. Have done AZ to WA also and back, did a quick AZ to CA and back in the same day. Each drive I loved and wished I could do more of them. Once you get your seats adjusted properly, it is a very comfortable ride, one morning my back was killing me from the bed in a hotel and in a few hours of driving, the pain went away, I normally go the whole day at work with back pain, but in the Camaro, it just goes away.

next month i'm taking it from indianapolis to las vegas, almost 2,000 miles

that is going to be great, but 28 hours is still insane

I've driven my SS from the Bay Area, CA to Tucson, AZ (about 850 miles) and I had no problems....especially considering the car was built more for performance than comfort. It doesn't compare to my 2004 Silverado though. The seats in the Silverado are like sitting in your EZ chair at home.
