No Employee/Supplier pricing
My sales manager and myself are assuming there will be no employee/supplier pricing out the bat. I already have my name in the hat so I'm going all out regardless.
Who else already has it planned out? I am thinking of Red hot with adrenaline red interior with black SS rims. MRC 2SS |

Why? If so, I'll just hold off until spring time.. May do that anyway though. Ford offered X plan pricing off the bat.

I may just continue beating on the Mustang in the meantime until I can get a 16 on the way out when 17s are about to hit lots then.

There is often a several month lead time from start of production to pricing plans being approved. The new Stingray was about that amount of time. The new Z06 still does not have it. I expect pricing plans will be available for the new generation Camaro within six months of the start of regular production.

No employee pricing would mean no Camaro for me. My wife gets it through an uncle. I'm not paying thousands extra just to have one of the first ones. The pricing was the tie breaker for me and is why I have a gen 5 instead of a Mustang.

I'm the same way. Besides if deliveries start in the fall does it really make sense to get one just to park it for the winter (at least up here in Canada)
If the dealerships pull crap then I'm just going to wait. Its a new car, not a limited car so there will be plenty to go around.

If GM does that then I will be out of the market for a while. Dealers refusing to move off of MSRP and ADM'S are the reason I never traded up after I paid my 2010 off.

Yep too many dealers that hope for a sucker sale. They hope that one sucker sale will be the equivalent of selling 10 other vehicles, and thats why they do it.
What they don't realize is it hurts future business and wrecks consumer trust. The automotive industry is already a seedy business, bad dealers make it worse.

GM will do that. Its in the program rules readily available on line at the GM Family First web site as well as other sites. So some of us have a choice, pay MSRP (and ADM where applicable) and have the first in the neighborhood, or wait a few months. save a few thousand, and be the first on the block not paying MSRP (and ADM where applicable).
I have done both. Don't ask why unless you have a PhD in Counseling. Laborsmith |

Matches my memory for my R6P (early order activity) order which was built April 30 but not delivered until early June. In my case the order was MSRP - $200 and - $1000 GM Card Points as I could not use the points with Supplier Pricing. I did have the choice but needed to use the points as they were getting close to starting to lapse.
The reason I suspect there will be a lapse before availability is when the 5th Gen came out Chevrolet said every retail sold order would be built, started production a month late on March 15 and continued ist model year production until after Labor Day. I do not see them making that promise this time. But I could be wrong. Laborsmith |
