2LT is definitely a fun car to drive. Whatever you are looking into be sure to do some cost checking for maintenance items. What wears out and when, and how much to replace it. Regular service and upkeep helps with the life of a high mileage car. Stock tires for a 2LT are around $200 each

I'm guess with the mileage it's 5 or 6 years old. So it'll be time for the junker soon or dropping 5 or 6,000 dollars on new batteries. IMO I'd dump it quick.

OP, i drive a 1 LT a lot but not as much as you do, I do around 500 miles weekly and after 16 months of ownership I am now at 35250 miles. I bought the Camaro with high mileage in mind, so I got the non RS because of the tires being more affordable and they last longer, if I was a little careful with my first set of tires I would have at least gotten 40000 miles out of them, in fact I kept two tires from the first set and they have at least another ten thousand miles left of them.
I found that I can get on the internet and find brand new sets of these tires as low as $200 all day long, I just bought a set from a member of this forum for that price just two weeks ago, they were only used on the trip home when he bought his Camaro, folks out there are ditching their tires for more fancy ones and selling the stock one cheap, I actually really like these tires, they have plenty of grip and they last a long time, plus I believe they have less drag and thus helps out the fuel mileage. "nuff on the tires, I know that you for sure will get at least 30 MPGs if all you are driving is highway, I drive mostly highway and those good MPGs are what I am achieving in my car. My 1LT is perfect for my high mileage driving, I look at it like this- ya I could have bought me one of those econo boxes like the prius, but I still would have had to make payments on it even though all the mileage I am putting on it is hurting the resale value, so I decided to drive something I like and enjoy, the Camaro fit the bill, I know a high mileage Camaro will be worth more than a high mileage Prius, so that is a no brainer. Test drive a Camaro, and like someone else in here said, see if you can rent one for a week, see if it is right for you. Like any car you need to maintain it and it should not ever let you down, from what I have seen, they build cars to last a lot longer nowadays, wether it be foreign or domestic, they are competing with each other, why would they build a piece of crap? they want to keep your business. Good luck with your decision.

with the miles that you drive every day the only car for you is the Passat TDI. And yes it's built in America. Chattanooga TN. It'd the N. American Passat Americanized for our driving style and habits.

At 200 miiles a day, if you drive 5 days a week, unless my math is way off: 1,000 miles @25 mpg = 40 gallons a week, x 4 weeks, @$4.00/gal. is <yikes> $640.00/mo. for gas - vs. a Prius @50 mpg = $320/mo. for gas. I own both a Camaro and Prius C, and guess which is my 120 mile per day commuter? Not the SS!
I too was looking at a >$600/mo. fuel bill, and decided to do something else. Good luck!

Wrong. Does it come with paddles on the wheel? Yes.
It does not have TapShift, however. Instead it has what they call "Electronic Range Select" mode. All this does is allow the driver to set the highest gear the transmission will shift to. You essentially set a range of gears for the auto tranny to use, but you don't get to control the shifting. Look in the owner's manual (here) on page 9-29 and 9-30. Where it references "vehicles with axle code GW8," well that's the 2LS. The 2LS also doesn't have Sport Mode, as it says on page 9-28.
