Well the good news is the GM is getting my money. Now I just need to decide. Vert Vette (Z51 Stingray) or Vert ZL1. My only disappointment is that I wanted something for this summer...

How in the world can I explain this to my wife. We haven't even taken delivery of our convertible yet, which she thought was too expensive.

Well it has yet to arrive but anyone want a Red on Red SS manual vert? I think I might just have to wait on this. Wonder if the dealer would be mad if I cancel my order..

It would be nice if someone could get some snaps of the hood vent's opening from the perspective of the engine bay looking up.. I'm curious as to the design and where it sits when closed.

Based on the location of the tuck, the wheel lines and space back from the nose, I'm guessing somewhere round the snout pulley or TB, but, does anyone know if there's venting or trays on the underside that makes the inlets sit off to the sides of the motor to pick up exhaust waste heat from the manifolds?

The vent's drip tray is asymmetric...the left side doesn't look quite like the right. One of the sides has an opening right in the bottom...the other has an opening off to the side, like the SS.

I got a decent look at it last week; but, well, we weren't allowed to take any pictures at that time. If I can get a hood open on any of the cars at the show this weekend, I'll snap a shot.

Also, the convertible spoiler does not seem to have the same overhang as the coupe....
