It's the bar that goes across the engine bay from strut tower to strut tower. I painted mine

It will only come factory on a v6 car if it's a convertible.

You can put it on your car if it's not a convertible, as my car is not.

Ok so I was able to purchase the oil fill tube, and Jason was kind enough to send me a spacer to move the ball stud up the required height to get the engine cover to fit back on.

Few notes:

92068813 is the part # you will need from the dealer (or wherever you get parts from). This part is from a V6 G8. When I called my local dealer he ordered the part # then when it came in he was like "it's an oil cap". So I told I needed the tube and he had me give a vin #. I gave my friend's V8 G8 vin. He ordered the part and that came in. I went and looked at it and it looked completely wrong. It was like a 45 degree fitting. It should be noted that the above part # comes with an oil cap and may look like just an oil cap but the tube is screwed into the bottom of it, ergo looking like one piece.

In a nut shell it said I wasn't quite happy with how that spacer for the ball stud the cover hooks to looked. I hit a couple dead ends but I've finally settled on something that looks good and I am making them now.

I will be mailing out one of the ball stud spacers to raise the stud up so the engine cover can still be used to everyone that's purchased a spacer this week.

With this, and the g8 oil tube extender piece you can still run your stock engine cover

*edit* weird, the paragraph I mentioned about the ball stud spacers is back now that I'm looking at this on a computer... Weird phone crap. Sorry.

*edit to the edit* Thanks everyone for throwing your .02 in, it sounds like everyone is happy with the product so far.
Still wondering if your mailing these out I never got one

Most of them are on the way, I had to get more raw materials to make more. A couple have already been received.

A note on the g8 oil filler extension, it comes with an oil cap screwed into the tube part. Don't let your parts guy try to convince you it's not what you need and that it's just an oil cap. This is not the case. You can use the new cap that comes with it, or your old one.

I paid about $6.80 for mine from my local dealer.

Jason, you have any numbers on this product? Maybe a dyno or anything showing throttle response and or HP gains?

Most recently tested...

Blue line is a bone stock car, the red line is with the addition of the Exntendolator intake spacer, and the maroon line is with the spacer and one of my ported intakes.

The spacer shows no peak gains, it's all about power RIGHT NOW, more grunt off the bottom end. I personally like it myself.

Yea the spacer will most definitely give you noticeable increase in the lower end. Similar to what the ported throttle body is advertised to do, but the spacer gives a 100x better feeling than the ptb did for me. Next up for me is the ported intake to go with it
