1LE - Hood Wrap

Curious... If you we're to remove the satin black hood wrap, has the hood it's self been painted body color along w/ the rest of the car?

Like any vinyl wrap, I'd guess that it could be removed w/a little work.

Thanks Becky!!

Wrap should have been an option IMO. I'm going to have to research so I know how to properly maintain it. 1,382 layers of wax? :P

It is an option. The 1LE option.

I kid, I kid.

The wrap being a matte finish is best maintained with soap and water and kept where birds can't do their business on it.

It's going to be tough to maintain a spotless hood wrap that's black.

Definately should have been an option.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

I'd rip it off the first day I had it. Hopefully there will be a delete option. Then either go with some hash marks or have the hood painted flat black with a flat clear over it. I don't see the vinyl lasting long, some of the CTF cars I've seen at shows and running around already didn't look so great. A picky person is constantly going to be seeing all the flaws in the flat vinyl. And when the hood is popped open you can see all the wrinkles at the corners and cut edges. I can't imagine they are thinking that will last long at all.

I like the flat black. But my experience with vinyl isn't good.
I agree with removing and adding hashes.

At first, I disliked the hood wrap on the concept 1LE.

It has since grown on me, and I will be leaving it intact.

It is part of the package that helps show you are driving a 1LE
