Exclamation Help! DIY help for removing bug from headlights

Hey guys, i have aftermarket halo projector headlights on my 2010 SS. Love the look, one BIGGG problem tho. I have a huge mosquito that somehow got inside the housing near the projector. Anyone have this problem with aftermarket or stock headlights and anyone know how to fix it??

Please help as this totally kills the look of my car!!

Looks like you need to take it apart again, sucks but I see no other way out.

Anyone ever take out the projector piece without having to bake the housing? If I can remove that I can suck the bug out with a vacuum piece. This really sucks but I appreciate everyones help.

How did it get in there!? But baking seems to be the only way.. or figuring out the spot that damn thing got in and using a powerful vacuum.

Maybe drill a small hole in a hidden location, pull it out with tweezers or a vacuum and then seal it back up with some silicone.

There's a hole somewhere. That light has to fog up every time it rains. How long have you had them? If they are still under warranty then send them back for a new set. An unsealed headlight can lead to a mess of issues.

You can remove the HID bulb and use a vacuum to suck it out.

Did you have these installed for you? All you need to do is remove the front bumper. Very easy. Then pop the headlight out, twist the bulb out, vacuum, then put it all back together. You shouldn't need to bake the headlight and take it apart.

OP you may be able to pull that bulb out without taking the front fascia off. Just twist the back of the light off, twist the bulb out, suck the bug out, put back together lol

I've taken my fascia off so many times bc of my headlights I don't even think about going a different route lol

Remove black cover on back of headlight, twist bulb counter clockwise. Remove bulb.
