Noticed right off that this ZL1 doesn't seem to have the same snap, crackle and pop I've heard on other ZL1 exhaust clips.

(fast forward to the 2:52 mark)

I thought the lack of popping might be an automatic vs manual thing but the interior shots look like he's sitting in a manual. The track videos, on the other hand, looks like he's in an auto. Still it begs the question why no snap, crackle, pop?

I only get that S/C/P after the engine's warmed up a bit. I don't ever hear it on cold starts.

...but after a fill up at the gas station, I always get a nice snarly crackle when I start her up to leave.

edit: You would think as much as he's starting/stopping/revving though the engine would have time to warm up...

Listened to this on my Beats Pill speaker box. People in my office hated me for it. Damn haters.

Still way too quiet. First mod: Headers, cat and muffler delete.

Eh, this doesn't sound that great tbh. An aftermarket exhaust would go a very long way on this car. I'd definitely get a Borla system as one of the first upgrades.

Also wish there was more supercharger whine. You can only hear it when the camera is practically shoved into the open engine bay.

The ZL1 is a great bang for the buck, but definitely not the best sounding when stock. Not by a long shot. Shelby GT 350 and Hellcat are way better sounding from the factory.
