You guys still driving you Camaro in this weather?

just read the message on the main board about driving with the summer tires in this cold weather. headed to houston to visit my daughter and grandson, is it worth the risk with the summer tires?

I actually just started daily driving mine. Heated seats and steering wheel that my Silverado doesn't have. I also use the display that shows tire temp too.

Snowbirds use winter tires

I drove my 16 GT until 33 degrees, today it's 29-24 so I'll drive my Villager w/A/S Michelin's. New summer's just mounted a week ago for my GT. The summers perform well to 42 degrees then fall off to freezing where I stop using them. Yes, that is snow from a couple weeks ago.

I drive my 16 SS every day to work, on the original tires. I saw 10 degrees outside temp on the Mylink screen on Wed morning! Thank goodness for heated wheel and seats! I didn't have any problems with traction since the roads were bone dry.

Not going to lie, yesterday was the first day I drove the SS this week. I mainly wanted to stay away from the brine and rock mix being sprayed on the road to fight the freezing/ice.

Haven't driven mine in weeks. Don't want salt on in. We are watch 6 inches melt off right now. Wife drives hers to work when the roads aren't bad. I've been dropping her off to work for the last week in the truck be fore I go to work. Just too much salt and ice for the summer tires.

Problem is the damn gravel they spread all over the place. Our monthly Camaro Club meeting is in Pearland today and I'd really like to drive the Camaro down there from Conroe but the debris on the road makes it worse than the weather.

When it got cold I actually started daily driving the ZL1 due to heated seats and steering wheel.

I get a chance maybe a handful of times during the winter. Most of the time the roads are wet and it's raining. Not that I'm afraid of getting the car wet, it's just not as fun to drive on wet roads.

My heated seats don't come on with auto start but I have them set to come on in the settings? Am I missing something?
