Good advice for manual noobs, like myself, even though a lot of it was kind of common sense if you have any mechanical knowledge at all. Thanks for the post!

I always have my hand on the shifter. Never caused problems.

Most points are valid here, but I agree with the others about hand resting on the shifter. Unless you're physically pushing in, the weight of a hand will not matter.

I use the shifter like a damn oh shit bar, the trans shift forks are lubricated. the clutch portion i did agree on, just thought i would the video for little info.
