Does Every V6 Have The Same Trans?

I was looking at my transmission and it’s an aisin ay6 (obviously) but I was wondering if the whole generation had the same manual trans, as I swear I read somewhere that In either 2012 or 2014 there was an upgrade, either in threshold of the current trans or a whole update. Is that true? I was wanting to upgrade mine since my syncros are destroyed
