Attempting to avoid damage to my car, I parked by myself at Walmart. When I came out, a lady had just parked near me. I did not have the heart to let her know she no longer had to worry much about parking so far out.

Sedona...drove the whole way here with the top down. It is amazing how many Vert Mustangs I see with their top up. I think it is just too hard for them to put up / down. Chevy got this feature right.

Hey guys, just checking in. Took a break from here for a while as I end up spending way too much time checking threads on here. That plus my car has been in storage since the beginning of December.

I've been thinking alot lately about trading in on a C7 Z06. I've always wanted one but it would be hard to say goodbye to the Camaro and the thought of my payment almost doubling is kind of holding me back. And though I don't use the back seat very much losing it might mean I drive it less. Don't get me wrong, I have no issues at all with the Camaro, I just feel like now may be a good time to do it if I'm going to. The prices are not bad at all on them. There's 2019's for around $73K. They are pretty barebones but that's insane! Time will tell I suppose...

This place is addictive. And yeah it’s been slower due to winter time.

That’s a tough call. The Z06s are sweet. But so is the Camaro lol.

I also thought about a ZL1 but what I like about the Z06 is the total package, not just the supercharger. I had planned to get a regular Stingray anyway but after some thought I went with the Camaro. I really don’t regret that either other than maybe I would have a better trade-in value if I did lol.

It’s not that I’m tired of my Camaro, not by any means, but with Chevy talking about going electric in the not too distant future I feel like now is the time to get the (possibly?) attainable “dream car” I always wanted. Prices on gas V8’s may really go up then because I think the demand will still be there. I have zero interest in electric cars, I don’t care how fast they are. I’m a traditionalist in that sense.

Is your car put away or do you drive it year round?

Mine is a daily driver and I use it year round being in CA. Not sure how badly you want the Z06 but if you can wait, you'll be able to pick up a low mileage Z06 for around $50K when the C8 Vettes come out. As for the V8 car prices going up in the future because we're going electric, I doubt that. Otherwise, the current Z06 prices will go up not drop like they are doing now.

Yeah the future cars are cool from a tech standpoint but V8 gasoline power plants are on the way out unfortunately.

My car is kinda winter stored. It’s on trickle charger for most of winter. Some days here it gets warm and I take her out.

Do you mean the mid engine Vette (if indeed it ends up being a Vette)? That's actually what I was thinking of doing. I'm in no rush, it's not like I'm suffering without a fun car.

Had I ended up getting the full two car garage I thought I was (You may remember that story), I'd probably do the same but since I use the garage for most of the year I feel it's only right to let the wife use it in the cold/winter months so mine is stored elsewhere. It's not far from me though and next winter I may consider dropping the three month insurance hiatus and going back to regular coverage and just driving it every once in a while when I can.
