2014 ZL1 build up for USCA
Hey guys,
I'm out of San Diego and currently building my black ZL1 for the upcoming Ultimate Street Car Association race year. I'll go over what I have going on so far, but it would be good to hear from other racers that have experience in USCA or intend on going to upcoming events. Planned mods: 1. aFe PFADT tri-Y headers (waiting to install, bought through aFe) 2. Flowmaster stainless cat-back exhaust (waiting to install, from ebay) 3. Roto Fab CAI (installed already) 4. SCT tuner with lifetime tunes (from RDP) 5. Set of 305/30r20's and 285/30r20's Goodyear F1 Supercar 3's, 220 treadwear (waiting for install) 6. BMR 1" lowering springs (from ebay) 7. Final thing is deciding on supercharger pulley upgrade with solid isolator |

run as many events as you can. put an optima battery in. focus on the design and engineering section. make a cheat sheet to talk up your car in the few minutes you have. give handouts to the judges for them to follow along.

Thanks guys. I did a few races last year including the LS Fest West with a 2010 SS, and ended up burning up the motor in Las Vegas after turbocharging it. Importance of cooling the oil and engine cannot be overstated.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
