Got one run in but something happened at the 1K ft mark.

I got to the track later than I wanted. DA was +300 as per ADAonline. Did a burn out, staged the car and it felt like a pretty good run till about the 1K mark or the 4/5 shift. Car kind of felt like it laid over for some reason. I was watching the speedo and then it just disappeared. I lost the entire dash and got an anti theft deterrent warning. The tire monitors, air bags, side markers, etct were all lit up but I have no gages and no data. Not sure WTF happened but it is still there. I am trying to figure it all out now. At least I was able to get the car home under it's own power but it doesn't feel happy.

I had 22lbs in the tires, I was going to 25psi next since it dead hooked. 1st and 2nd shifted around 6,700 which is much to high for this combo. Fuel was lean at first and then settled to 12.5ish which is a little rich for this car. Timing was around 24* at peak tq and 25* at peak hp. That is about 1* or so lower than I like to see. There was also 2.5* of spark knock at the kick that disappeared quickly. With tuning there was at least 1 tenth in it, possibly 2. But we will never know.

60ft.........1.64
1/8..........7.27
1/8..........97.34
1/4..........11.31
1/4..........121.10

With some work I could have gotten the 60ft into the 1.5's. I did some research on my past logs and it looks like the car is right around 5-5,200 rpm at a 1.60 60ft and 31-33mph. So there is a lot of room for tuning in there since the car starts to move at 1,300 and has a dead flat spot where the converter locks up at 2,600. Much more area than I thought there was originally. I just don't think I will be able to match the E in 60ft due to the loss in the middle with the headers. 10rwtq from 3,500-5,300 is going to be hard to overcome. 1st gear uses the entire rpm band in the fist 60ft so all of the power band counts. After that shifts remain above 4,500.

I will get this stupid thing figured out and see what I can do with it next week. I definitely didn't have 10's in it today for sure. On E it would have been there. I would have been happy with 11.teens.

Did you try to disconnect the battery for a reset? Sorry to hear that.

If your gonna keep going faster you better buy a truck and trailer. I've broken too many independent rear suspension cars, so I've learned a lesson.

I have tried everything. The other weird thing is that my radio stays on. I just disconnected every wire I could find to the battery and fuse box. I even tried a full flash on the ECM/TCM. Nothing has worked so far. Next is every fuse in the box. I didn't mess with any wiring really on the header install. It just wasn't my day. Maybe this saved me from something worse.

Try reflashing the stock tune. Leave the negative off all night to see if that works. Its not like you can run it into the dealer, although if its an electrical problem not related to the ecm tune they might work on it as warranty.

I will give it a try. I think it is a fuse or connector some where. I just can't imagine what or where though. I didn't know there was another fuse box in the trunk. Gonna check that one out as well.

If I read your post right, that's a strong pass on pump gas homie.

It sucks to hear about your electrical? issue, did you pinch any looms taking out the manifolds or mistakenly leave a ground strap off. I can't imagine that is the issue, but I think in simple terms when I make a change and something wrong happens.

Seems odd to drive all the way there with no issues and then...boom, out go the lights

Scariest thing I've read yet. Keep us posted and hope you find something minor quick!

Yes, that was pump gas. Obviously there is more in it. I have to lay down the tune but just didn't get a chance. If you drop a tenth for the +1K DA I had today over last time then I was less than a tenth off of my E passes. I would have gotten that back on the next pass for sure.

There was only one spot that the header rubbed when I was putting them in. I will double check it tomorrow. The flange only hit is for a sec as it passed by. I have been driving it for two days. Three street pulls through three gears, three dyno runs and the 200 or so miles to get to all these places. I don't know man. I am going to get it in the air tomorrow morning and double check all my work. Except for the starter there are no wires that need to be removed. Well the coil packs but that doesn't count. I will have the stock rims and tires on tomorrow with the sensors as well just to eliminate all the variables. Today just wasn't the day. I am still happy with the first off the street pass. The day I went 11.07 my first pass was 11.28 IIRC.

I was having serious electrical issues with my turbo Buick many many moons ago. I was ready to take a match to it when we found the nut backed off the starter wire...spent countless hours tearing the car apart for that stupid friggin 3/8 loosened nut.

I hope it is something as simple as that, good luck.

Hopefully. I tightened the crap out of the starter wire.

I can't really complain about the run.. my last pump gas pass in +200 DA on street tires was..

1.80
7.56
95.00
11.70
117.96

Additions from then are drag pack and headers.

I did my math wrong. The DA yesterday was +1,600 over my 11.07 runs on E. That is using Airdensityonline and Drag times numbers for both. So not bad at all for pump and just adding headers. The headers are totally worth it at this point.
