Hate to break it to them, but MT's Tesla test was on unprepped road surfaces. So there's still going to be a gap. But who cares anyway, if you got to run in non-street legal form to obtain those numbers...it's not really the fastest car that rolled out of the factory. It's the fastest car available "from" a factory with an optional (not street legal) package.

Now if it can break the Veyron's 1/4 mile time in street-legal form, then it can be called the fastest production car in the world.

So you really believe a Tesla is going to stay anywhere within sight of this car on a dragstrip, just too funny. . Like a ZL1 the Tesla will be crossing the 660' mark when this thing is crossing the timers.

You were talking about 0-60. 1/4 mile is a whole other ballgame, especially for an electric sedan which weighs over a thousand pounds more.

It will be interesting to see what the unprepped time is when MT gets there hands on one. I bet it will still be 2.X time which is still amazing.

No doubt the demon will be quicker and faster than the tesla in the 1/4 mile. But the telsa will not be at half track when the demon is crossing the 1/4 mile mark. More like the 1000' to 1100' mark.
