Header and intake wrap
Any benefit to wrapping Kooks headers and/or CAI intake?

Wrapping headers is always a debate. I wrap mine because I like reduced under hood temp and not melting wires. Performance gain on these is not going to be a factor. I don't believe wrapping the tube of a CAI will gain you anything. Air does not sit in the tube long enough to get hot.

They are stainless steel. If they rust through in my lifetime, I will buy new ones because it will be a very long time. Also...not sure why they would rust...there is enough heat to evaporate any moisture. That is all based on mild steel headers. Even with that, I ran wrapped headers on my dirt late models for years. Ran 180 degree headers wrapped and Shoenfeld dump out headers wrapped. Washed the car and engine weekly...soaking the wrap and headers. The wrap dries right out. Never rusted out any headers...even mild steel. There is always talk...or there is testimonial from users.
