Shifting problems!!!!!

Coming home from the Camaro rally the other day and suddenly couldn't shift into 2nd,3rd,and 5th with my 2015 1le! With the motor off I could get into every gear, anyone know what's going on?

Tow that baby directly to the dealer. There shouldn't be a problem, and the dealer should be the one to find and fix the problem on a 2015. We're you doing anything unusual prior to the issue starting? Any shifting issues prior to that? It's anyone's guess with the info we have whether it's an internal, linkage or shifter problem at this point.

Good luck and let us know what it turns out to be.

Did you get any messages on your drivers info screen when this was happening? Also do you have a Skip Shift eliminator on your car? If not the computer locks you out of 2nd and 3rd until a certain RPM is reached.

Had this happen once on my 2014 1LE, it was as though the shift eliminator locked on. Made it to the house, unhooked battery for a couple hrs to allow any computer resets. Never has done it since, driven probably 10,000 miles. I think it was just a electrical glitch.

OP, any resolution? Nice to know what the outcome was for future reference.

Normally ...
The skip shift "feature" only blocks 2nd gear.
The dic display diagram shows shift 1st to 4th but the driver can still shift 1st to 3rd if he wants.
When engaged, that transmision mounted lockout solenoid just blocks second gear.

Just curious, would a skip shift eliminator cured the problem as well?

Ok, gotta ask, what/where is the "shifting solenoid" on our manual transmissions? Master cylinder to slave cylinder to shift fork to release bearing, etc......what the heck is the shifting solenoid? If I missed that he's driving an L99, then someone just slap me now..... (edit: I see he owns a 1LE....no slap please)

Would love to understand the cause of the OP's problem.

There are no forks on a hydraulic TO bearing. However, I didn't know there would be a solenoid on a manual trans. But these are pretty sophisticated today.
