He was even asked by members here point blank if the Recaros would be available and he said yes. I just wish we could get a straight effing answer from GM on this.
That someone was me last Saturday at the GM Heritage Center haha. I would just give it some time guys, they probably don't have enough to go around right now.

Theres would save a TON more weight over the factory Recaros. I really don't need the Vaj Warmers nor will I pay 2k more for the factory seats over the regular Recaros.

The CS seats appear to be a bit more aggressive than the factory Recaros in the lower cushion. I wonder how difficult it would be to bypass the airbags and how to deal with the SRS light that would show up if the CS was installed.

You can get them in Germany with heating, Suede and airbag for $2000. I wanted to wait until the Camaro ones got out, but if they really run 3k a piece, I will take them with me from Germany on my next trip there.

That is what I'm looking into now. I will end up with either Recaro or Status Spa seats. There is the air bag testing simulator that you can use.

It's not a fail. When the average person asks "will I be able to buy the Recaro seats?" They mean the full assembly. When you buy seat from race seat makers you typically buy them as complete assemblies.

And what I was disagreeing with you on was that the statement of "they're not available" as whole units directly contradicted what Al O. said and that I wish we could get official word from GM on the specifics. Something as easy as "full assemblies will be available through dealerships beginning in fall/winter/spring for a price of X per seat" would be sufficient.

She tracked down the part numbers for us. Drivers seat part # 23120238 , passenger seat part # 23120246 . As of now these numbers are not available and probably won't be until January next year. Due to constraint for building cars. Hope this helps everyone. Now all we need is a group buy to save money these won't be cheap.

Exactly. They aren't going to have to a different P/N for the 13's. They are fully compatible but not yet available in a full ASSEMBLY.

If you find a dealer that is willing to order "Replacement parts" for one of their 2014 ZL1's saying the seats are damaged, that way GM will send it out, it comes with a full kit.

*Patiently waits for Patrick at GM Parts House to offer (relatively) reasonable prices on full assemblies*

I only want the driver seat, and I'll pay an outrageous amount for it, too. It felt GREAT to sit in @ The Fest, much better than other street/racing seats I've tried.

Maybe I missed it, but will the non-power seats have more adjustment than fore/aft (and backrest angle)? Usually manual seats don't, but I remember than 4thgen Firebird manual seats had a partially adjustable bottom portion, too. I'd hope the Z/28 would have that adjustability based on it's raison d'ętre. Or maybe not, because it would add weight.
Anyone know?
