Yeah and the camaro is a ~455whp car with his mods and 200lbs heavier with the passenger. That looked like way more than a 40whp difference especially with the gearing of the mustangs a10. Very high reading dyno I would say. I think on a proper dyno the car would be =/<410whp.

I have never seen any of them close to 500. Or, the closest to 500 I have seen with FBO is about 460.

If I know anything about JLTs on the S550 is that they LOVE heat. I mean, they get extremely hot. All the open intake systems do. I had an Airaid on mine with the insert cut out. I then switched to JLT just because I liked the looks. My temps got soo hot I got rid of it. On relatively cool days my temps would hit 130s, 140s after about 20 min driving. So while this dyno may look good because they gave the car plenty of cool down time and probably dynoed it with the hood open, I'm betting it'll start pulling timing, losing hp, and will be slower after a few minutes of driving with the hood closed.
The JLT was a horribly designed POS on the S197 as well , it did not seal well against the hood and it got hot at idle just like you describe. the JLT also knecked down to 75mm at the TB. The Air Raid was a far better design..stayed much cooler and was 85mm at the TB.

Is that impressive to some? If I void my warranty then I better get 20hp.

20whp from a pump gas tune is pretty solid even for PFI.

That is standard man. Even a canned tune will get you in the neighborhood of 10-15. A custom tune will do 15-20. So it is nothing that hasn't been done before.

Geez man, some of you guys are acting like the 18 GT is breaking barriers or something, lol!! It isn't doing anything special or new or different. Some pro shop with unlimited resources buys one and loads it up with mods and does this or that and you guys are acting like it's magic or something. I mean, if you guys are impressed with the 18 GT, then you all should have went bonkers when the 16 Camaro SS came out. And the 18 GT still isn't gonna compare on the track. And you have to buy a certain specific GT to be fast...unlike the SS, any of them will do a low 12. There is nothing impressive about the 18 GTs. They're better than the 15-17s by a small margin and maybe that's enough to impress Mustang folk since they've been lagging behind for this long. But it isn't anything that impresses us over here.

I said it was solid man , never said it was above normal. If as you say a custom tune will do 15-20... twenty would be solid yes?

a couple days ago Lund made it sound like there was litle to gain from a 93 tune...20whp has been standard for years , so what's Lund going on about was my point.

Maybe they are promoting their shop and lund is being honest. IDK. Kind of odd one of the best tuners in the world said that and was inferior to this place. Unless he meant 20 hp was not much.

You can let a car cool, change pressure in tires, strap it down different, hood open vs closed, take off a belt etc etc....and make the numbers higher. Among other things.

Some shops said the same about the Camaro on 93. And then Ive seen other claim plenty of gains. Its hard to know whats really going on. Kind of sad. The track is the only place that wont lie...and in my opinion these newer DI motors wont gain a ton of hp from 93. But you will see gains from optimizing things like TM removal, shift points etc on a regular 93 tune

It's already dead. The ZL1 killed it months ago back in the MT H2H. The ZL1-1LE cremated it. And the ZR1 will be spreading it's ashes all over soon.

The GT500 is too scared to come out. The Mach1 went into hiding. The Boss fled. The Bullitt changed it's identity. And anything else that Ford has with a name on it is running with it's tail between it's legs...
