Throttle body spikes

had the car cammed for about two weeks had it tuned by gpi. All was going good until I changed my slicks for my stocks 1le. Took it for a drive and it started with this problem. The throttle body % goes crazy up to 60% while I’m just cruising. Can’t seem to upload a file but I’m about 15-20% throttle and it spikes everywhere up to 60%. I just replaced the throttle body and nothing. I was reading that it could be the pedal sensor

Did you send your data logs to GPI…? Where they tuned it you should give them first crack at fixing it.

Had a similar problem when I tried to run a Soler ported 103/107mm throttle body. Car was possessed. Tuner told me to ditch the ported TB ASAP. Went to a Katech 112mm one and problem was gone.

All I have is stock tb, and roto fab, lt2 intake, btr stage 1 and headers. It was driving fine until a morning all of a sudden you think the car wants more air and a bigger tb?

They could be right. How long did you drive it with the tune and no issues?

I drove about 200miles with the first startup tune drove it from the shop to my house then around town. Then one night I swapped my slick for my 1le stocks and flashed the second revision gpi sent me after they said everything looks good on the logs. Took it out for a spin and this problem occurred. I sent them a log of the problem and he said he couldn’t see what the problem was on the log I sent. he sent me a file with drivers demand back to stock but same problem still happens. I seen my drivers side o2 extension got melted from touching the headers so I’ll be replacing that one with an extra extension and will be replacing both o2 sensors this week I also got a new foot pedal

Yeah melted wires will raise havoc for sure. Probably best to go over it all carefully and then try again with everything repaired.

Compare the two files from GPI and see what changed. I know there is a table that references gear selection that can cause erratic throttle behaviors. If there is nothing obvious that stands out in the compare files, then you have a mechanical or electrical issue not related to the tune.

Could also flash the original file back and see if the issue persists.

Haven’t check the passenger side yet. If I flash to original tune like the stock file will it still be able to drive around just to check if the problem still happens?
