AFTERMARKET CATCH CANS ?????

I HEAR all this stuff bout aftermarket catch cans ????? are your cars overheating to the point that they are spewing out coolant that you all are installing aftermarket catch cans ?????

the reason i ask and im sure some have the same question ..

i got a 2013 ZL1 and live in deep SOUTH TEXAS , it get hot in the winter time down here and im not having issues with my car , it runs around 220 and stays there ..... am i missing something ???

ok i have read the WHOLE THREAD , and the only conclusion i came up with is >>>

this catch can has nothing to do with the cooling system

and even though several have asked , " what the hell is it for " whats the reason for this particular catch can ........

the catch can they are talking about is to catch oil throught the PVC system so it does not get ingested by the engine.

You are thinking of an overflow can if you are talking about radiator coolant. The factory one has served me just fine.

now if you want to cool down you intake air temps then you can add an after market heat exchanger or chiller systems.

I emptied mine again this weekend and it had about 2oz of oil in it so definitely worth having. That is 2oz of oil that is not in the intake system now. My car has 6K on it and I have emptied it one other time with about the same amount.
