What are your thoughts?

Dealer has been great so far; what should I do?
LOL.. I don't think so....

Lets see my car came in and I was out of the dealer with in 3 hours... long enough to do the temp recall and the PDI... AHH no floor time, as I am doing MORE advertising driving this car around TOWN.. I wonder how many people have broken their necks watching me go by!!!

The temporary fix is like 10 minutes to do.

Then you take your car and they call when the permanent fix is in.

The tape should ALREADY BE THERE. The permanent fix should be there too actually... mine has already been fixed permanently... it took him like an hour.

Yeahhhh... they might have a checklist to go over before releasing the car to you. And if they're backed up with customers getting work done, it might take a day to take care of the starter cable issue.

As for displaying your car in the showroom... that's fine... you just gotta charge them $500 a day ;-)

Get your car and enjoy it. If they sold their 1 v6 showroom car that GM sent them, that is their deal. They should not expect to keep every customers car a couple days just to have one in the showroom. Tell them they should have keep their floor model for what it was indended for, not make a buck off of the show car, and try to do the same off of you.
Offer to let them have it, and if they sell one due to your car, you get the salesmans commission. Haha Have fun with your new car

well, id let them keep mine, as long as they didnt let people touch it, and most defiantly not let anyone get in it. and then if you need parts or anything in the future they will be more likely to give you a better deal.

I went to a dealership a couple of weeks ago. The sales manager opened it up, started it, blasted the radio, let a bunch of us sit in it and play with everything............then told us it was a sold car. Not cool. They told the customer they couldn't let it leave the lot until AFTER the release on the 5th. I felt bad for the guy.

Pick it up. Mine's coming in tomorrow and I'm picking it up then. My dealer has not asked for any delay.

I didn't like the sneaky part from your dealer, he could have just come out and told you that he would like it for a day or two to show off.

If he's been really good to you, that's your choice. I would do it for my dealer if he asked but then I'm 2 hours away.

I think he should have been straight forward with you, instead of you catching him on the 10 min recall fix.

They didn't say hey, would it be cool if we put it in the showroom for a few days?

Don't want to get you paranoid but from some of the other posts I've seen I'd be afraid they were shopping it around trying to sell it out from under you at more than mrsp.
