If you ordered your car with the painted engine cover is that a constraint like the CGM cars were for so long???? I hope not...if so taking it off my order.

It wasn't on the official constraint list from this week so I'm guessing...no.

We ordered ours with a matching engine cover ( cgm ) but have been told by our dealer that for some reason it is not available at all, I'm not sure if it has been in constraint or something but at this point our order still has not been picked up ( we were #1 but got passed up last week because of our color ), and are still waiting. I will ask again when our dealer finally calls to tell us our order has finally been picked up !!

My dealer called me a few hours ago and told me that my order will be picked up first part of next week...WOOOOHOOOOO!!!

She also advised me that the engine cover was an LPO meaning that it will be dealer installed, just like the stripes soooooo I'm sure you won't have any issues with it slowing things down! (Even if it comes in at some later date!) Remember were all getting closer day by day!!!

If we can still get one, even if it gets dealer installed at a later date that is fine with us, we were just bummed that it got completely pulled off our order with no explanation, just suddenly greyed out !

We actually had to pass on our order last week because of the partial cgm constraint, we had a choice of changing colors or letting the #2 person getting their order ahead of us, we decided to let them get theirs and waiting to get cgm on the next round. The dealer had hoped it would get pulled this week but that didn't happen, so now we have to hope it happens next week : ( if so that would now mean a June delivery.... : (

So much for getting to dealer on Oct. 13th ... oh well .....

According to GM Accessories the only engine covers colors they are coming out with are Black, Rally Yellow, IOM, RJT, and Victory Red.

CGM is a complex mix. It's got 2 different flakes as well. Making a plastic that exact color just not practical.

The cover and be removed and the engine detailed. Should not void the warranty if you leave the factory hoses alone and just put slip covers on them.
