May 6th or sooner
Just got a call from one of my many dealers (really just wanting my money) and they told me the first week in May (May 6th or sooner) will be the day the cars will be available at local dealerships. I'm not jumping for joy until I have the keys in my hand. But has anyone else been given this same information?

Dealers I've spoken to have said they won't be on the lot until about mid May.

Dealer called me that they will be getting two camaros in for the unvieling. They will have an IOM 2SS for sale after the unvieling. I tempted to get it, but I'm sure it will cost me a pretty penny since there will be other people trying to get it.

May 6 is what my dealer told me as well, NLT than that is.

I *heard* that they were holding cars in detroit until the may 6th nationwide release comes.

Those are for dealer display, but I beleive the dealer can sell it if they want. They are not intended to be sold right away. I think all if not the major part of them are V6s. It should have nothing to do with the preorders everyone should be getting their cars regularly till they are all completed. It's part of the official unveiling on May 6.

if you look at another post from today, someone in indianapolis got theirs today and the VIN# is in the 2000's. what i don't understand is why the rest of us with lower VIN#'s haven't received yet!!!!!!

yes I talk with my dealership today said they was going to get a V-6 of some kind for the unvieling Iam thinking the 6th of May and my car would come in with the V-6 and yes Iam going to let my dealership keep it maybe for 3to7 days only to let some people that want to see a SS before they order one
